The Pink Elephant #23

Finally got around to doing some challenges this am!! This is The Pink Elephants weekly challenge #23. It's been awhile since I've been able to play! I was granted 3 completely undisturbed hours in my stamp office this morning!! YEAH!! So the challenge was a color challenge: Red, Dark Blue, and Lighter Blue. For some reason, these colors screamed winter at me! I used a stamp set from Gina K called 'Got Snow' Great Set!! No....I'm not hoping for snow! lol

Crafty Secrets Challenge

I haven't had much time for stamping lately, but I managed to get a couple of cards finished for some challenges this week. This card is the Crafty Secrets Challenge for this week over at Splitcoast Stampers. I absolutely love Crafty Secrets' vintage retro images!! They are the bomb!!

Middle of Summer

Well, things just haven't slowed down here on the island! Last weekend we had 21 guests for the big 4th of July bash at our house and I'm still cleaning up!! Today we are traveling down state to attend my neice's wedding. Whew! Just haven't been able to find the time to stamp lately!! I've really got to get into my craft room for a few hours for therapy!! This card I made at the beginning of summer. The stamp is from Sparkle n Sprinkles and I just love it!! I love anything beachy since we do live on a lake and spend a lot of time on the water! Father's Day 2009

Another Father's Day will be in the books in a few days. We plan on cooking some thick steaks and enjoying time out on the lake. One jet ski is back running sweet, the other took a fatal dive.....but, looking at Seadoo tonight, so we should be back in business this weekend!! Thought I'd share my 2009 Father's Day card! Another wonderful image from Digital Stamp Oasis!! I've been dying to use this image on a stamp, although this card looks kind of fallish. I colored the image with markers and used a small piece of designer paper. The saying is from a Papertrey stamp set. I tried to keep this card very simple. Our Creative Corner 5.23

Our Creative Corner's challenge last Saturday was to use your favorite sentiment on a card. This is one of my favorites! Although I don't live by the sea....I do live on an island on a large lake...so I still forget to count the days!~ I'm not exactly sure where I picked this stamp up at! I wish I could remember....guess living on the lake, you forget where you buy things, too! lol
