Row by Row Week #4: Houses

Row by Row Week #4:  Houses

Welcome back to my Cabin Row by Row Quilt Along!  Remember, all commenters will get their name into a drawing at the end of this QAL~

This week I’ll be putting together this House block in a variety of fabrics:

This is a bit more timely and difficult…but I’m loving how it’s coming out!!  Unfortunately, I was not able to find a 12" house block that I liked for this quilt, so I decided to draw my own up on graph paper.

No tutorial, but here's how I put the block together:

I've decided I’ll mix the House and the Pine Tree blocks together for two rows.  In all honesty, I started putting the row of trees together and they were not working for me.  Once I mixed them up with a couple of houses I finished, it looked much more pleasing to the eye!

So, this week I'll be creating two rows of houses and trees for the quilt~

Have fun~

I love the idea of mixing up the trees and houses. I think it will make your row quilt much more interesting.

Very cute houses. But who let all the animals come inside?
