I
am quite excited that it is my turn to create a fabulous charity quilt over at believe @ do.good stitches group over on flickr! Each month I make 2 blocks for the charity quilt of the hostess' choice. July 2014 it's my turn!
I’ve
decided on a relatively simple block, Square in a square, done in purple, blues
and aqua! I’ve made up a couple of samples based on this tutorial:
http://www.thesometimescrafter.com/free-tutorials/PatchworkSquareinaSquare.pdf
This tutorial makes a standard 12.5" block. The scrappy squares are 2.5”. This is super easy, super scrappy and super fun to make!
I'm asking members to make two 12.5" blocks in purple, blue and aqua. I’m using Kona white for my center block and the inside border, because that is what I have on hand, however, any nice white fabric will be fine.
